Your chance to pay tribute
to a great Australian

For more than seven decades Smoky Dawson made an extraordinary contribution to Australian life.

A superb singer and songwriter and a consummate showman, Smoky was, above all, admired for his humility and his infectious good nature, spreading laughter and happiness wherever he went. Together with Dot, he was an inspiration.

Now, with the support of Smoky and Dot's family and friends, a statue of Smoky Dawson will be erected in Tamworth, the city they regarded as their second home and which they helped transform into Australia's Country Music Capital.

Help preserve the memory of a great Australian by making a tax deductible contribution to the Smoky Dawson Memorial Appeal.

Send a cheque to the Australian Country Music Foundation, PO Box 1842, Tamworth, 2340 or find more details on the special website.
